Jo High Jinks, “Jo,” is our ranch stallion.  His maternal grandsire is the legendary High Rolling Roany, who was a complete package of durable confirmation, gentle disposition, and “cow“ instinct.
                                        

Jo follows this same pattern: besides his big powerful hip, wide chest,and deep heart girth, he stands on good bone and maintenance-free, dark feet.  He tops that with the kindest, most willing heart: he is the one the grandkids fight over when they come to ride.  Just as importantly, he is super cowy.  He is all business when he’s on a cow, and has heart and try to spare.  He continues to impress us with how easy he is to handle when with his mares, whether we’re moving the band or gathering him at the end of the breeding season.
                                        

Jo’s dam, Roan Sweet Jax, is a High Rolling Roany daughter whose dam is sired by Apple Jax, son of the Two Eyed Jack, and whose grand-dam is a daughter of Blue Valentine.

Jo is sired by Stearns Bar Jo Jo, a stallion purchased by Bub Nunn from the long-time great horse program of Don Stearns.  His sire, Stearns Bar King, is by Beau Bar Mujer, a AQHA champion with Halter and Performance Points, Roping ROM, and sire of  Performance Point earners. Beau Bar Mujer is by Beau Bonanza Superior Halter/AQHA Champion, World Champion Sired by Coy’s Bonanza.  Stearns Bar Jo Jo’s dam, Tyrees Miss Jo Jo, is a daughter of Tyrees Watch who goes back to Pitzer Ranch legends, Watch Joe Jack and Two Eyed Jack.
